Contents page :
Shock and horror.

Front cover: Shock and horror (masthead) with a selling line of:'watch out'. Front cover will give insight into what will be in the magazine, I'll also be including the conventions(Main image .

Scare ratings: I will be watching horror movies and trailers to see how scary they are based on a rating out of 5 and could it be worth the watch.

'Watch out' for.. : This page tells readers upcoming horror films that they should watch

Parody page: This page will feature fan favourite parody horror films since everyone loves comedies.

'Cult classic anyone?' (Readers page): Readers get a chance to tell us why they are fans of horror.. they select a cult classic horror movie, and talk about the scene they find most iconic.


Scariest horror villain: This page will look at some of the scariest villains in horror films and look at their iconic scene.






This is a film magazine called 'Total Film' April 2012- Issue 191


The example above shows a conventional film magazine contents page, this explicitly highlights whats in the magazine. This is also successful because whilst clearly outlining the contents, it manages to engage readers and make them want to read on. The grid layout is useful as it creates an ease of access.

About 'SHOCK!'

About my film mag My film magazine is going to be based around horror and independent film, its purpose will be to spotlight villains and look into characters and what makes us love watching them on the big screen, looking at modern horror, I'll also be reviewing at least 1 of the latest horror movies and a classic!
